I guess everybody knows Pink Floyd.  If you don't, I'd say that getting to know Pink Floyd is an excellent opportunity for getting to know some good music.

Pink Floyd released a double live cd of their Division Bell tour called "Pulse".  Or "p.u.l.s.e" for the purists.  It was a groundbreaking albums in terms of sound quality on a live album, and I have since compared every other live album's sound quality to the benchmark set by Pulse.  Now the really frustrating thing is that there is no DVD version of Pulse.  There was a VHS and a VCD of it, but no DVD.  Fans have been waiting for a Pulse DVD for years.  I think it was somewhere during 2004 that news emerged that Pink Floyd were working on a DVD version.  The release was set for December 2004, then March 2005, and now it has been pushed back again to "the middle of 2005", according to Brain Damage.

I will believe this when I have the dvd in my hands, and my guess is that'll be roundabout December 2005.  In time for the xmas shopping boom ...
